The Illusion of Loss

In my work as a therapist, I often witness the pain of perceived loss—whether it be identity, relationships, security, or meaning. But what if nothing of true value can ever be lost? What if suffering arises only from the effort to hold onto what was never real to begin with?

The words that follow came as a spontaneous reflection on this. They are not meant to be understood with the mind alone but to be felt, seen through, and perhaps recognized as already known.

Nothing that is of value can be lost therefore it can never be found. What is of value can only be recognized. Revealed. Seen through.

Nothing that is of value can be broken, die, suffer.

It is the apparent effort to go against this that perpetuates the apparent suffering of an apparently separate individual.

This effort is only a mirage in the face of Truth. It can never touch the Truth. The Truth is untouchable. Pure. The same always and forever.

It only loves.

In its love it teaches intelligence, it teaches beauty, it teaches discipline, it teaches devotion, it teaches friendship.

When there is no need for any more teaching, there is absorption. The teacher and the student are one.

Conditioned objects do not bring pleasure or joy. The joy is in the awareness that perceives them. That is the creator, the invisible creator.

Once you know this, you cannot go back.

Travelers beware!
