About Me

I am a registered social worker and have worked in the mental health field as a counsellor and trauma therapist since 2021. I am an Advanced student of Somatic Experiencing (planning on receiving my SEP certification this year) and have also completed the year-long Compassionate Inquiry Training with Dr. Gabor Mate.

Since my mid-twenties, spiritual seeking has been the most important thing in my life. Experiences of extreme suffering brought about this focus; like most families in our world, mine has experienced generations of trauma. I wanted to understand why and most importantly I wanted a way out of suffering, not on a temporary level, but on a permanent, existential level.

With a truth-seeking heart and a rational, analytical mind, the answers I sought were eventually all answered, and continue to be, from within.

“Look closely at cloth, you see only threads. Look closely at creation, you see only Self.”

Ashtavakra Gita

I have been studying Advaita Vedanta with my teacher and friend Francis Lucille since 2020, and I am the host of Winnipeg’s first Non-Duality Study group on Meetup. I have also sought out additional professional development in Non-Dual Therapy and Buddhist and Contemplative Psychotherapy and I am a board member of the Canadian Society for Spirituality and Social Work.

The greatest jewel I have found in all of my experiences in my academic, professional, spiritual, and personal life is that there is no division between these categories at all – that they are all connected through the invisible thread of awareness. In this awareness, as this awareness, you and I are the same. In truth, there is only one being; and the extent to which we recognize this is the extent to which we are free.

Awareness is what we know to be, and it is the source of all love and wisdom.

As awareness, we are the source of our suffering and the source of our healing.
