“My guru is this moment. My lineage is this moment. My spiritual path is this moment. And my home is this moment.” Jeff Foster

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is transpersonal therapy?

Transpersonal psychology recognizes that human development extends beyond the ego or personal self. It explores the existential and spiritual dimensions of our experience to foster a deeper understanding of what we truly are and our unique path toward inner peace. This kind of therapeutic approach helps people explore and integrate higher states of consciousness, leading to greater self-awareness, healing, and transformation.

Is transpersonal therapy tied to any spiritual or religious system of belief?

No. Inner peace and a deep connection to one’s true Self is everyone’s birthright, shared by all humanity. While this message is central to many respected spiritual and religious traditions, transpersonal therapy is not confined to any specific belief system. Even those who are atheists and agnostics can greatly benefit from this approach. Truth is universal — it belongs to everyone and to no one.

What is somatic experiencing?

Somatic Experiencing is a trauma healing modality created by Dr. Peter Levine which takes into consideration that trauma is held in and released through the body, much like in other mammals, and humans are no exception.

I would sum up this modality as “learning to befriend our body,” a lifelong art project with unimaginable positive consequences for our lives.
