The Dark Night

When the light seems to have left,

Do not reject it or fear it.

The shadow is a direct pointer towards the light.

Life is teaching us all the time

its tough love is the engine

that gets us to grow in wisdom.

We cannot exist without it.

Suffering is not a bad thing,

It is life calling itself back to itself.

May we answer the calling and be good students.

May life be a gentle teacher.

This is my prayer for you.

May you see that the light in your heart is a sacred fire

that warms those around you.

May you honour the divinity of your spirit by acting in truth

May you remember that happiness can only exist in the now.
